Large tank stocking ideas. How many fish each

The more I researched Niger Triggers, the more I found of them being very aggressive once they matured. One possibly could be a problem, but I'd assume two would almost certainly fight each other once large. I hadn't looked into multiple though, so maybe I'm wrong.

If it weren't for the aggression, I'd definitely prefer having one over a tang. Cool fish to watch swimming, like anything is that's related to the puffer.

+1 to one or two special/rare fish .... also think about hawkfish... I guess they are small but a pair of couple of different ones would be cool ... perched in different areas & always active.

Niger triggers should be fine. They will do ok together if added at the same time (at least in my experience) and they are usually fine with all fish and shrimp. I've had them before without issue (even a 10" niger with firefish and peppermint shrimp) and I currently have a 4" niger in my 380 with multiple fish under 1" long, a cleaner shrimp, 2 peppermint shrimp, and 2 coral banded shrimp. Start with small niger triggers and you shouldn't have any issues. That way they are less likely to have learned any bad habits. Mine only chases fish away from the hole he sleeps inside.
