Well, probably not large in some people's book, but, I am considering adding a second tank around 200 gallons. I pause now after reading some of the disasters that have occurred with larger tanks. However, if I were to go forward, who would you suggest buying from? I was looking at 180 gallon Marine Land tank. Like I said, bigger than what I have but not insane big. It would never fit in my tiny house. Am curious though, with the larger tanks, are they truly more work? And besides room for growth, what benefits do they offer? My favorite part of the larger tanks is having room to arrange rock. I also have a passion for truly live rock (fresh out of the water and flown in) and plan on starting with it, allowing it time to cycle and hopefully even grow back things taken off or lost along the way. Discovering hidden creatures on live rock is a thrill for me so just months of waiting for the water to cycle and come within parameters would be fun, then of course there is the adding of coral once you see what you have. I do know the dangers of fresh live rock as I've dealt with it several times, but I'm willing to risk it for the fun of discovery. I would love a larger tank to have more room to work and grow with. My current one is a little more than sixty and 48x48 and about 12 inches deep. I love the open space, I like it shallow because it's easy to access BUT also being so shallow has limited me on coral placement.
Anyhow, back to the question at hand. Considering glass first off, and have looked at several companies, but was wondering who people suggest? Thanks.
