Large tanks on wooden floors

I am looking at a new home and planning the tank. The tank will likely be 300 to 500 gallons. Most of the house is on wooden floors over a slab. I need recommendations on how to place the tank on wooden floors or good asthetic ways to replace or protect the wood floor under the tank.

i am also planning a large tank on wood floors and was very concerned about water getting under the plywood stand bottom and not drying up. I opted to go with a metal stand with open bottom and placing the sump elsewhere. not sure what the weight will do to the wood.

any other ideas out there?

I just placed a 200+ gallon tank on wood floors.... I guess i'm the guinea pig. Ill let you all know how it goes.

Tractor Supply sells rubber matting that may better dispense the weight over the floor.

Im also thinking about putting my tank on a wooden floor. my main concern is that if there is a small flood will it ruin the wooden floor?

I use to keep a 90 on a wooden floor and had many leaks spills and other mishaps. When i took the tank down 3 yrs later i was worried what underneath the stand was going to look like and to my surprise it was fine. The floor didn't seem to be ruined at all.

As for the weight you want to be sure that the tank sits perpindicular to the beams underneath the floor, not Parallel. This way the tank has support every 16" or so.
