Larger Overflow needed

OK.. so I had a bit of a disaster last night. Somehow my overflow slowed down and allowed the tank to overfill with water and spill onto the carpet. this caused my auto top off to consequently put more water in the system and thus overflow some more. when I woke to wet carpet this morning, tank water level was normal and sum level was about 4" too high. so... I am in need of a larger overflow that can handle about 1000gph. the one I have now is also too small to even make a Durso inside, so I have a different type of silencer than can get clogged.

I am looking for one that has a double utube and then two 1" lines going to the sump. I have a 1" bulkhead on my sump, but I can easily lay the other hose inside sump without drilling.

please LMK if you ahve somethign that may work.

I've got that old one in my car. I think all you would have to do to keep it from breaking siphon is to replace the riser inside the overflow box. The one in it is perforated, so it continues to drain the overflow box below the level of the U tubes. Extending the PVC riser above the lower level of the U tubes would likely fix it. I ran it on a 75 with a 1300 gph pump (less with head loss) and it kept up. Repriming th etubes is a PITA, but it's no diffwerent from repriming any other U tubes. Just a PITA, regardless. You can try it out and see if it works for you. If not, no biggie. If it works, I'd take $30 for it.

OK.. so an update here. Got a very very spiffy overflow from Danieljames and talk about much needed flow .. WOOHOO!!! I can finally open this puppy up. it enabled me to go with 2 returns instead of just one. corals love the flow. you oculd just hear the Milliporas cheering, along with the other acros. so, only 1 insy weensy issue now. at full bore, I get microbubbles passing thru the sump to the return pump. gotta do some reworking a bit...
