Hello Luis,
oh i like to make the side in english, if some can help me ;)! My english is to bad for translait a complicate Text :(

You don't need copepods Iris, seems you are doing pretty good.

Loreto, I did about ten years ago

Ed

oh fine, so i can ask you about the breeding ;) what you feed the Gramma´s ? Brachionus too? a normal Size ore small one = B. rotundiformis? I can´t became rotundiformis here :o

We raised both on B plicatilis using the same protocol, to get both species in good numbers you need to enrich the rotifers and artemia with selco or a similar enrichment thats provides the nutrition neede when no copepods are available.

I need to learn german, my boss and my sisters husband are german.

Ed

:) then you must learn German ;)
Matt has help me translate by the Apogon lepthacanthus there are the first english Text ;)

by the gramma i have problems to hold the larvae longer then 7 days :(.... so i must make the next try better!

Are you using selco or any other enrichment for the rotifers before feeding the Gramma sp. larvae?

i feed the Brachionus with Cultur Selco 3000 but i think its not the best way, i see that the P.fridmani shocked by and after metamorphisis. if i chance the Water they fall on the ground and open ther Gills and die, if they became stress.
The Gramma have problems with the mouth they cant closed them, so they cant feed and die after 7-10 days i must have other enrichments so i look that i becam Ratio Hufa but is a big Problem here to become!

We tried culture selco but it never worked, the shock killing the dottybacks could be during the artemia feeding period, i have lost many to this when I turn lights on/off or when netting them out of the tank.

the Gramma problem can be nutrition or poor water quality during the first days. Make an effort to get the ratio Hufa since thats the only one that works, contact them , they sell to hatcheries all over the world.
