ya i did a little custom work on that reflector to work with the HQI socket. its only a 10 gallon tank and i use the glass lid for the tank as my UV shield.

How high do you have that lamp off the tank? Is that a 250W HQI? and what spectrum?

Right on, I was asking because I am thinking about putting a 250W XM 10K over a 15. My thought was that the whole tank would be getting the same light that the corals in the top half of a 120 would be getting.
