i do wanna add a sixline but after readin so many stories that sixlines go mean and kill tankmates, i'm a little bit afraid

as some say, last introduction of them into a tank is believed to reduce their aggression, is it true?

if it helps a lot make'em become model citizens, i'd very much love to wait a while. but if not, i'd better consider some alternatives

plz share ur stories, big big thanks

if you really like them don't keep and similar sized, shaped or colored fish and add it last. I have one that is really aggressive, but all the other fish are 2x his size(except the pyles wrasse he scared into the overfolw)

i have a royal gramma, which is very likely to be bullied

well, i gotta think o'er and oer.

I personally would not add a six line just because it limits you after it is added. You can almost forget adding another wrasse once the six line is established in my experiences.

If you are only going to add the six line and not future wrasses or like fish then go for it. I have kept a six line with royal grammas in the past without an issue. That has been my experience in a 210. They have lived peacefully for several years together. I made a decision when I built my 400 gallon tank that no six line would see that tank though. Cool fish though.

i have a sixline with a coris wrasse and a golden wrasse, clowns, mandrin, anthias, dart gobies blue gobies tangs..etc..

I never had a problem with my sixline ever..maybe i just got lucky,,,but he is a model citizen

Get a Pink-Streaked wrasse, same shape, similar colors get's a little smaller and nowhere near the terror of the 6 line. Have one in my 150 with a Possum wrasse and both get along together, and with everyone else. Not sure why more people do not go this route, other than they are harder to find. DD has them occasinoally if your LFS can't get one.

Pink Streaked Wrasse: Pseudocheilinops ataenia

Google it, you will find plenty of info from various vendors and sites.

Well, having a 300g tank probably makes less issues for you too.
I've seen people that have them w/out issues, but in an average size tank keeping a mandarin w/ one probably won't work out, too much pod competition.
