Hey, I'm new to the forums and actually still new to the hobby. I've wanted a tank for years and just never got around to it. Until December 08 i picked up a 125. I originally planed on having a fowlr tank...that lasted about two weeks. lol. About a month after I got the tank I stumbled across someone who was selling their 220. I decided to get the tank. If only I knew what I was getting myself into. lol....

some quick specs:

Oceanic 220 glass tank 3/4" glass (this thing was HEAVY!)
Aqua C 400 protein skimmer with MAG 24 pump
4 96Watt PCs
3 250Watt HQI halides with electronic ballasts
1/15 hp dolphin return pump
¼ hp JBJ Artica chiller
Phosban reactor x2
Denitrator
and the stand

Here's everything in my garage after cleaning the coraline etc off the tank:

I decided to have a local cabinet/kitchen wood working shop redo the stand to match all the furniture in my house. so here is everything sitting in my living room while the stand was being redone and i worked on the plumbing. i have no idea why my wife didn't divorce me. lol.

I cant believe I stumbled on this thread.... I bought a 125gal tank in january and in the process of cleaning it up and getting the equipment together, I decided to go big!!! I am currently having a 225gal tank cut!!! I am also new to the hobby. I am going for a reef tank. I am excited to get started. I am going to turn part of my basement into a fish room where I will set up the 125 as part of the filtration system.

A blond naso for the "wife" huh, LOL :) I Have lots of stuff in my tanks for the wife and kids. :) Telling my girls yes I know you want that big clam for our 'family' tank! :)
