Lava Rock?

I have some Lava Rock, that I acquired from a African Cichlid tank. Is this rock suitable to add to my reeftank, I guess I would rinse it real good to get out any nasty stuff.

I would question what type of medications and such they used for the African Cichlid tank. I believe that rock can hold copper. I could be wrong though.

I'd say wash it with vinigar then rinse it really well if you know the medications used are reef safe!

Advice from the UP I love it, I lived in Mqt for 26yrs.

I will do the vinegar rinse and then rinse with fw and then let it cook in old tank water for awhile.
