Lawnmower Blenny feeding tips

Hello boys and girls. I just picked up a lawnmower blenny this weekend and I love the little guy. I do need help with feeding. I just finished putting together my tank and I don't have much algae. Can any one help me with a good feeding schedule.

when i had mine i would feed the tank mysis and he would eat that. also i would seem him picking at the rocks all day. if you have enough live rock you should be ok with out feeding him directly

Same here, mine picks at the rock and back glass all the time and pretty much eats anything I put in the tank from pellets to frozen foods. He is quite fat and happy.

I feed him flakes and he did not go for it. He really likes the green algae sheets and lately I have seen him pecking at the rocks. I'm just not sure how often I should feed him

give him a square of the sheet big enough so that he has food all day long. you should also let algae naturally grow in your tank.

yes, every day. these fishes can't store food in their stomach so they need to constantly eat to survive.

Thanks for letting me know. Do you think he will get dependent on the sheets if fed every day and not eat the algae growing in the tank.
