Lawnmower Blenny Getting Thin

I had a bit of a GHA problem over the last several months. I cleaned it weekly and added some phosguard to my canister filter, but also got a lawnmower blenny to help. Well, most of the algae is gone and he is looking rather thin. I had anticipated this and planned on hanging some seaweed strips when the algae was gone. It looks like he has not fully cleaned the tank as there are pockets of "good eatin" algae in several places, but for whatever reason he is not interested at this point. I did hang some seaweed, but it does not appear that he is interested in this either. I also bought some emerald "omnivore" food to supplement, but alas he keeps getting thinner.

Of course I realize it may not be the only issue, but it does seem like this has occurred over the last month once I "won the battle with the GHA".

I suspect I have two main options:

1. Find something he will eat (this is where you wonderful RC community come in)
2. Take him back to the fish shop (don't want to do this as I have become attached to "pac-man"

I am willing to spot feed and can do this multiple times throughout the day. I have also considered removing the phosguard from the canister filter...

One last thing, I now have a bit of a cyano problem. Not sure if this is causing him problems, but there is still so much I do not know.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I have the same problem at the moment so we asked around and they said he should start eating normal pellets, frozen shrimps and flakes. They are not fish that starve themselves. You can also buy special vegetarian pellets.

Funny that while most would categorize lawnmower blenny as "easy", I have personally encountered some really challenging ones to keep especially in the eating front. One food I recommend anyone with finicky herbivores is the Mini Marine Grazer by New Era. Ever since I began using it I have not had any herbivores not loving it.
