Leak testing with garden hose water?

Is it bad to leak test my new system using water from the garden hose? Any metals, etc I should be worried about? I am going to leak test it in my garage, then dump the water and transfer it to the house. I don't really feel like making a bunch of RO, just to dump it out later.

You should be fine Ben, I wouldnt waste ro either. I would dry everything really well afterwards thou.

Yeah, I won't run the reactor or skimmer obviously. I'll just wipe the tank and sumo out with a towel, and that should be that. Thanks Grant.
