leak

So there is a leak in my calcium reactor. Its coming from the top screw. This is the BAR DIY Reactor that I got from Gabe. I don't know how to fix it to make it not leak.

I screwed it tightered and I loosen it. So...what else can I do?

I've never seen one of those BAR DIY reactors, but on my reactor it has the thumb screws on the top. I feel they don't provide even pressure all around on the rubber seal so I got some small clamps and clamped the lid down. That stopped any leaks I had.

Your screws doesn't stay tight so you may want to give the clamps a try. I've seen small clamps for sale at dollar stores.

psionicdragon,

I don't know the DIY design that was used either but the screw holes should be on the outside of the gasket, yours sound like they are on the inside, the leak is coming from the screws/screw holes. Good luck with the teflon tape, that should help.
