Leap Second Adjustment

My AC Jr was losing 35 seconds a day on the tank time. Is it normal to adjust the Leap second this much to get the tank time back on track.

I was going to ask the same question...my JR. is off much more than that. I am making adjustments, but just doesnt seem right.

Mine is set to add about 50 seconds each day. Not a very precise time piece is it?

I think that a few of the Jrs. were shipped with crystals that didn't match the datasheet. They oscillate a little bit too slow, but are consistent. You just need to adjust the offset, and then they'll keep accurate time.

Thank for the info Curt.

I bought this AC Jr used and just wanted to make sure that there was nothing wrong with it.

I just received last week the replacement DC8 and now got the time accurate so I added it to my main display tank. It has been running rock solid for the last several days. I like the features and programability that this controller has to offer.
