what is the least aggressive tang, i plan on getting a copperband butterflyfish(a very timid fish) but i plan on getting a tang too

I've had experience with some of the more aggressive tangs, i.e. yellow hawaiian's etc and I had it with putting in fish and getting them killed.

The newest addition has been a Kole tang. Very pretty fish and very little aggression if any.

Ive not had tangs for very long but will say my Kole is more aggressive than my Hippo, so is my mimic.
Just make sure to add the B-fly well in advance of any tang you choose.

yeah go with a kole or maybe a tomini tang. Hippos get big fast and they can bring alot of ich problems into the tank if not properly QT'd!

I think a tomini tang would be good for your size tank, 75g? Mine kinda minds his own business, friendly. He's quite regal in his looks, although hard to appreciate from pics on the net. I've had a copperband as well, and they got along quite fine. I also have a baby vlamingi tang, which I wouldn't recommend for your size tank, but have to say that he is the most docile tang I have ever seen.

My convict tang is very laid back. It is the least aggressive of my 3 tangs (others are hippo and yellow). These can work in a 75 as well. If it were me, it is the only one of my tangs I would try with a CB. It is also not very aggressive at feeding time.

Probably any of the bristletoothed tangs (Ctenochaetus) would be ok as many people have mentioned.(Kole, Tomini, Chevron) You might be able to do a mimic tang also i hear they r pretty passive.

umm an orange shoulder is a VERY docile fish and if bought at a small size are actually very good for your size tank, any mimic tang would be good as they stay pretty small and a scopas is another nice choice
