leather and pipe organ

So I picked up my first leather this weekend. Te LFS owner wasnt sure what it is as it came in unmarked. Anyways my question is there are 4 or 5 stems of what look like pipe organ growing around the base of the leather. Any ideas how to get them or the leather off? I dont want to kill either but would like them seperated.

Any ideas?

Breaking the rock wont work as they are very close.

You can try razor blading them off. Depending on the health of the leather, slicing a little off the base to get all of the pipe organ, etc., isn't generally an issue for the leather. If you do cut in the tank, it's never a bad idea to run fresh carbon.

the pipe organ has a hard shell so Im not sure I could just razor blade it off. Maybe I can try to cut the corner off the rock.
