Leather bleaching

Hey guys, my leather toadstool starting to show signs of bleaching. Any idea or reasons why its bleaching?

The other leather that i have isn't showing signs of bleaching but tentacles has not open for a week. Normal?

Both are placed about 1 inch from the surface, lights are 3 ATI blue plus, 2 ATI super actinic

cal. is way high you want it around 400-420

did you place them way at the top to start with? you should start them at the bottom and work their way up. as for not opening for a week that is normal for leathers to close up for a while.

My leather likes to stay closed up for a few days for no obvious (parameter) reason. I've heard about them staying closed for a week or so.

+1 on lighting probably causing the bleaching.
