Leather Coral and White spots

Guys I need some help, I think my leather is not doing well. I've had it for about a week or so, shipped to me from Colorado and for the last week its been doing fine but between yesterday and today the polyps would not come out as much. Today I noticed white spots on the coral and none of the polyps came out. Question is - is this the so called waxing that I typically hear of?

The only changes I have made is the transfer into my tank with halides.

Here is a picture today.

I had it under VHO's for about 3 days. Seller had them under halides as well though. Maybe the stress from swapping tank to tank? I'm not familiar with leathers so I really can't talk on the subject. Just want to see if I need to take desperate measures and frag the crown?

For the time being I moved it to a very shaded area.

I don't think I'd do anything except wait for a bit, as long as it didn't start to decay (smell bad). If it comes out in a few days, you could start slowly moving it out of the shade.

ok well the leather is not doing any better. Today there are holes in the crown. Should I just frag off the healthy pieces? Also how did this happen? Is there anything known to eat leathers? I know that worms can be found inside the stalk but how about the crown???

Okay, that sounds bad. :( I think you should ask in the coral forum. Sigh! There are definitely animals that will eat corals, but I'm really out of my league here.
