Leather coral help??

I have a Leather Coral (Lobophytum) that still acts normal and expands fully most days. I have noticed over the past week that it appears as if small chunks are being bitten out of it. The sections are small, anywhere from 1/8th of an inch to 1/4th of an inch in diameter. They are circular shaped (not perfect circles) and appear to be up to 1/16th of an inch deep. The spots I am referring to are pure white and dont seem to affect the coral. Any ideas????

I have several fish, hermits, and snails. My tank description is below in my signature.

Amonia-0
Nitrates-0
Phosphate-0
Nitrites-0
alk-9dkh
calcium-480

My tank is a mixture of lps and sps (mostly LPS) and softies. It will be tough to get a good pic now as actinics are on and coral is contracted but my description of affected areas is pretty specific and accurate.

It could be anything? Do you have pics?

Something could be taking a bite out of it..

It could be dropping parts of itself as a means of reproduction.

Also I have see where a leather coral will get white sections that are kind of crumbly and fall off which is some type of infection I believe. some times on the edge or sometimes it will put a hole through the leather.
