An interesting leather eating nudibranch that we came across. Its in a fowlr/quarantine tank so nothing else to damage.

It's amazing how these critters match their (unwilling) host in appearance. I had one similar to this once and it was hard to see when feeding on the coral.

Let me know if you need any leather to keep it alive. I would like to try it in my 180 to clear out the DH I can not reach.

wicked!

i found this guy about 4 years ago on some clove polyps. had the colony for a while before i even saw him on there!

Ade, you're welcome to have it if you would like it. Its about finished off the leather that it had been eating.

Interesting one you had there Al, thanks for sharing.

Here is another picture of it cruising on the glass.

I know as Reefers we are supposed to have a high distain for creatures like that , but I have to say it is an incredibly fascinating animal ....

I would love to try it, what kind of leathers was it eating? also not sure if it could handle the flow in the 180.

Actually not sure what the type of leather it was eating. When I got to it, it was just the small piece left in the first picture. I'll see if I can find out what type it had been eating later this evening.
