Leather help needed

Hi, I just posted in liveaquaria also. Hi. I received several corals Friday from liveaquaria, and I'm concerned about the Yellow Fiji Leather. The water in the bag containing the Yellow Fiji (unlike the other bags) was very brown and dirty looking - so much so that I couldn't tell which coral it was other than through the process of elimination from those that I could identify in the other bags.

After acclimation of about 2 hours, and removing the Figi and placing it in my tank I noticed that the edges were a brownish color, with the only yellow being an area in the center. I took another picture this morning:

Could this all be shipping stress? Do you think it will survive & recover, or does it look hopeless? Anything I can do to help it?

Thanks

Yeah, looks pretty bad. If you can save any of the healthy looking tissue by fragging, it would probably be a good idea before it gets any worse.

Giving it a dip might help, but it looks pretty far gone.

I'd try dip, QT, and give it LOTS of flow, and hope for the best.

Hi and thanks. I think it's a lost cause at this point. I guess I'll tell liveaquaria about it Monday. I'm really not set up to QT or frag it, so I think I'll have to pull it - I'm afraid it will foul up the rest of my tank.

FYI - I called & no problem getting a refund from liveaquaria. Great guarantee and customer service people. I was really impressed.
