Leather Id ?

i was given this leather this weekend , i do not know if it is doing well or even what kind it is , i was told it was a finger leather , but i would like some info if possible.

Looks like you should ask in the ID forum to me. :)

And it looks like a cabbage. Mostly because a Devil's Hand, Finger Leather and Cabbage Coral are all the same thing. Don't really care what the scientists refer to them as, both look identical to me.

They are very different.

According to " A practical Guide to Corals"
by Ed Puterbaugh and Eric Borneman
it is a Lobophytum sp.
 
Medium flow and medium light is all that's required for them. Plus regular water changes.
When I had my 135 setup (10 years) with lobophytums and sarcophytons, I used VHO lighting and a couple powerheads in the corners and they did very well.
