leather Question

I have a leather coral sometimes it looks like a toadstool sometimes it looks like mushroom I think its a club finger. Its normally the size of a soft ball. now its half its normal size. its not opening but its dropping fingers yes its fingers. The leather looks fine (ie base) the fingers are doing well is this how it mulitplies ??

Many soft corals will drop branches or arms and will form baby colonies around it unless u can scoop em up b4 they attach, I get about 2-3 kenya tree frags a week by this.
