Recnetly my colt coral has started to dissolve and become a brown goo. Today i noticed that my green sinularia has some of its tenticals turning black. I thought this was algae at first, but after trying to remove it i realized it was actually dying and the tentical came off, leaving exposed tissue. The only new thing i have added to the tank is an aquaclear 70 with two bags of chemi-pure and a poly filter in it. The tank is 65gal over 8 months old and is filtered by a 30gal refugium and a bak pak skimmer. All fish and other sps, lps and other softies are fine. My lighting is 4 96watt VHOs. Temp ranges from 78-80 F. I change 10gal of water every other week using oceanic salt. Im going to do another 5gal w/c today and try to suck out the remaing colt. I have two varieties of xenia which are still doing fine, which is normally a sign of good water quality. I also noticed and reported in another thread that i have a small outbreak of planaria, but they seem to be harmless. My question: what can i do other than the water change and just waiting it out? Is there a disease that only effects leathers? Any help would be great. Thanks
