Leathers, leathers everywhere....

My leather corals are going crazy. I need to remove a few since they're starting to block light from some of my other corals.

Does anyone have recommendations/suggestions on fragging/removing leathers while in the aquarium? They're attached to large rocks that I can't easily remove and I've been reading about leathers releasing terpine (toxin) so I'm really not sure how to safely remove them without crashing my tank.

This one is starting to shade over a Ponape Birdsnest and Red Planet and needs to be evicted....

Thanks Roger! I pulled one of the smaller ones and could see some kind of chemical release as it tore away from the rock.... looked like freshwater mixing with saltwater, when you get that transitioning liquid state. Have carbon running and so far nothing looks irritated.
