Hey guys. i am not sure whats going on but the other day one of my toadstool leathers started to deteriorate. My leather corals are 4-5 years old. the top of the toadstool has completely deteriorated. at first i thought it was going through its molten stage. but the other ones are closed up such as the ruffle leather and other toadstool type leather. but i am noticing some black spots on the leathers that when blowing off with a squirter is eating at the flesh. any ideas. i did a 50% water change in attempt to stop the problem but not sure its helping. I have never seen anything like it so if you have any suggestions would be a big help. these are nice pieces and it would be a shame to see softball sized leathers completely die. for the most part its the one that is really destroyed but the others are still ok but afraid if i keep waiting they will be destroyed too.
