Leave rics on the sand?

I have not been able to get my ric to attach to anything. I had it in a tupperware container for a few weeks and that did not work. It seems like it kept moving itself off the rock that I had in there. It seems like it squishes itself up and then flattens and it has moved some. I tried putting it on a big flat rock in an area with very little flow and sure enough by the next day it is off the rock.

Is there any problems with just letting it sit on the sand bed? It seems to be happiest there.

Mine are also doing very well on the sand bed. Don't try to fix what is not broken!
