Leaving tank outside

Can I leave a tank sitting outside for a week? It will be covered with a tarp. The temp around here might get down to 35-40 degrees farenheight. Do you think it I may have problems with the silicone later on down the road?

unless a neighbor kid throws a rock through it you'll be fine. my 150 was in the garage for about 6 years - probably got up to 120 in summer, -20 in winter. no problems at all

If it is outside and not in a storage shed/garage make sure its covered.. the temps wont realy bother it but the direct sunlight is a killer on the silicone.. but just a week probably wont hurt the silicone with sun shinning on it

a week is negligible. cover it if you can, but I wouldnt stress about doing so. if it were longer I'd agree that a cover would be more important, but for the timeframe you're talking about there's little concern.

Temp will not be a problem but direct sunlight absolutely would. Never underestimate the destructive power of UV radiation!
