leaving town.. looking for emergency contact to help wife w/tank (just in case)

I plan on leaving a "what to do" manual for her.. but she's always watched and never really helped with the tank. I'm giving her a crash (maybe the wrong word to use?) course in maintenance and emergency WC's tonight..

but, if something were to go horribly wrong would someone be willing to PM me their number to help her? I'm in St. Charles..

thanks in advance.. and this would only be used as a last resort..
 
There is probably more qualified people than me but I'd be happy to help out if needed. I'm in ballwin but if something is wrong, than I would hope someone would help me!

I also understand if you don't feel comfortable enough since I'm not as seasoned as others on here but if you'd like, just pm me and I'll send you my cell and home number and email...I can even be a back up to a back up.

Plus, I owe you one for the help with the DDNS which btw came TODAY...You might be hearing from me for a bit of assistance. LOL

I'll let you know what I think of mine since I know you were thinking of getting one also.

Josh, I'd volunteer for backup, but I'm kinda far away. If she needs someone as a phone call backup, I could give you my number.

And to the rest of you animals, I met his wife when I was over there awhile back and she was a very nice, intelligent person to talk to, so clean it up!

Josh--I'm close and I've been to your house (and I've successfully kept your "killer starfish" alive without any murders in the tank.) If you need me, let me know.
 
lol, thanks again everyone... i got into seattle about 1:30 STL time. clear sky's and its absolutely beautiful up here.. wow. I hope to visit the Seattle Aquarium this weekend and will post pics if i get to.

Update

Well i'm back in town now. at first thought all went well. but upon closer inspection things were on their way down hill in the tank. my monti cap is starting to bleach, a few heads of my candycane are showing skeleton... cyno is starting to cover everything. noticed my skimmer had been adjusted and was running way to low of a skim to even get the foam into the cup. I'm pretty sure it was way over fed while i was gone and the water level was pretty low even though it was being topped off. Alk was way low so was Mg. did a 20% WC and fired up my new phosban reactor so hopefully the cyno goes quick with that and the WC. brought my ALK back up. my new USHIO bulb arrived so i'll probably swap that out.
 
Well, sounds like your home crew needs further training and possibly some disciplinary actions. Send her over and I'll see that she gets both. :D

suggest you run the water through it slowly so that your alk doesnt drop (10 gph for about a few days and than run it at 80 gph )
 
hmm, okay I'll watch that closely.. didn't know that was a factor. its running at a really slow gph anyway.

Shooter, after 8 days of being away I was sure to make sure she got all the training and discipline she could handle. it was my civic duty. :)
