OK, I have had my first reef tank now for 3 months and all is well don't have much in the way of livestock at the moment just 2 common clowns 2 turbo snails and a cleaner shrimp. However, next week I want to add a few more fish and some soft corals.
The lights that came with the tank are 3x 39w T5 Bulbs build into the hood, I want to keep the hood as I don't like the look of suspended lights. The tank is 330 litres and 30" deep.
Do you think that these lights will be sufficient to start off with? looking at adding a few Zoas, Toadstool and maybe a Kenya Tree to start off with. I would also like to progress onto a few SPS down the line.
I have been looking at small LED fixtures that I can add on to boost the amount of light but struggling to find a fixture I can attach to the hood that is powerful enough to be of benefit to coral - does anyone have any recommendations? im on a budget though so looking in the region of £100 or less.
