LED comparison question

I'm looking at the new fluval LED system and also the Mars Aqua LED lights. Can anyone offer any insight into these? What have your experiences been with each of these products? Thanks.

Reefbreeders if you want a warranty. Random Chinese full spectrum black box if you don't. Anything else at this price point is a waste from my experience.

Mars Aqua is not bad lights but too much red and warm white. Lots of wasted energy in spectrums that will not benefit the coral. A little red is needed, but not much. You get enough from the neutral and cool whites. 2 red diodes is more than enough. When folks start looking at PUR instead of PAR they will see why not all black boxes are created equal. I would replace 2 of the red and all the warm white with 14k diodes.I would recommend AURORA Chinese timer led lights,14k whites 2 red 2 violet 2 green full spectrum on channel one,450nm blues on channel two, plus moonlight channel, remote control and built in LCD screen with 3 channels timer, better spectrum and cool features,I am happy with that.

Mars Aqua is fantastic if you want to keep Zoa, Montis, Chalices. Actually better than T5 IMO. But it's difficult to keep SPS with it.

The Fluval light is really only good for lighting a fish only system. The Mars Aqua would be much better for most corals and can grow sps. Reef Breeders and Ocean Revive both pretty much offer the best economic fixtures that will grow just about anything. I use the OR IT2081 (same as RB Photon 32) and my sps are colorful and growing very well under them.

Thanks everyone. I am trying to light a 72 bowfront and from the light fixture to the top of the sand is under 24". I think I'm going to go with the mars aqua lights. I appreciate all of the input.
