LED coverage for a 90?

Looking at all the new LED bulbs that are on the market has me rethinking my light situation for my 90. We are planning on keeping softies and LPS so nothing too terribly difficult or Light demanding. Would 4 of the Par38 style bulbs be enough coverage if I have them at least 6-8 inches off the water?

Also please comment on your experinces using the LED retrofit light bulbs good or bad.

you mention 4 par 38 bulbs... does this mean your budget is around $400? An idea on your budget would be helpful.

For softies and LPS it doesn't take a ton of light... but if you are considering SPS or Clams in the near future, you may want to go for more power than needed now so you aren't replacing your lights in a year.

I've built a LED light fixture using rapid's kit... it was easy to do and I've had good results. That said, for my 75 gallon mixed reef I'm planning on going with 2 - Kessil A350w... This is where budget comes in. If you're looking to spend around $400, that'd only get you one light.
