i've been talking to luke at reeffiltration about possibly getting an LED light for my new 93 cube. he had ordered a few new lights to test them out, but the manufacturer made the light wrong. the plan was to have a strip of the blue on the front and back and white in the middle, but they made them just the opposite. they're cree bulbs and he says that at 24" the lights pull 245 par on sunlight mode and that they're about the equal of a strong 250w mh.
they won't quite cover my tank, but would probably be great for a little smaller tank. he has 6 of these lights and says he'll probably sell them for $350. just thought i'd put it out there in case anybody else is looking.
