LED fixture

Old and probably forgotten thread, but I ran into a member here in Atlanta that is running a few of their 300watt units (100 3W LEDs) that has 52 Blues and 48 Whites. The color is very similar to that of a Radium and the growth he is seeing in his tank is crazy awesome.

I was going to wait to see LED tech improve, but seeing how these were doing everything for him that I want in my system (except dimmability ... I'll live) and they're cheap ($240 each). I'll be picking up a few for my 180.
 
What is the price for the 60w one originally linked? That is basically exactly what I want..10 white 10 rb with dimmers.
 
I just did a web chat with their rep, they do not sell directly to the USA, you have to go through a reseller... which results in a 2x price.

Too bad, all their prices were dirt cheap but i figured they did not sell directly to the usa.
 
?... i talked via web to one of their reps last night. The 300w unit (100 3w LEDs) was quoted at 240 each. I asked about getting five and the shipping was quoted at $204 or so. Never once did I or the rep mention a reseller.

Now... with their CREE setups, it may be a different story. I was looking at the units that have the Bridgelux LEDs.

Did you go to www.eshinesystem.com or www.eshinesystems.com. Two very different sites. I'm looking at the pricing sheet right now and the 300w unit priced at $350 is a setup that comes with 300 1w LEDs. on eshinesystem.com look at the 3G units and at the bottom you will see the 100x3w Aqua Panel.
 
Correction: the only light they do not sell directly to the USA is the 60w Cree fixture.

I got 7 PDFs sent to me with the specs on the dif products & prices.

Apparently the Aqua washer lights are dimmable, but unfortunately they are super long strips of LEDs. The Aqua Master would be really nice because it is ~20" long, uses 2 rows of 20 3w LEDs (40 total, 20 455nm blue 20 14k white) + a middle strip of 33 moon lights + 2 10w T5s..all for $230!? Is there any kind of stupid high tax for shipping/buying from china?

Yea the thing is I really want a dimmable setup or more of a 2:1 rb:w ratio because I like the bluer lighting, the cree 60w is the one that comes with a dimmer and it is only sold through the reseller.. for a huge markup.
 
hmmm... could you not install your own dimmable driver? At those prices... you'd still come out ahead wouldnt you? (I honestly dont know the answer).

I would also note that the guy whose setup I saw had 58 blues and 42 whites, so it wasnt a straight up 50/50. It had a bluish tinge to it, but more of a phoenix 14k than a XM 20K.
 
Yea i like the phoenix 14k colors, not the 20k. I was thinking the same thing, for $80 i could get a 25x3w light setup and rip it apart for my own dimmable drivers. They said they have a driver for the 50x3w and 100x3w right now and are writing up the specs for it on the website currently.
 
Going to keep an eye on them and strongly consider one of their systems when i go to buy a led setup.

Oh and eshinesystem and eshinesystems are one in the same.. system without the s on the end is their new USA target website.
 
The biggest issue is all the 3w fixtures aside from the cree one use warm white 20k+ temp whites instead of cool white. The whole white temperature thing is beyond me but from what i gather you want the cool white typically?
