Dear All,
I'll start by confessing that I don't know as much as I should about lighting, and read in this forum that actinic light is useless for clams etc. in terms of providing growth etc.
I have LED lighting. It is a Zetlight ZT660. I would tell you the relevant specs, but I don't understand enough to do that but from what I can gather from the website (http://www.zetlight.com/index.php/products?id=46) it is 200W and with quite good quality bulbs, and at about 12-16" below the surface the PAR rating is about 600-700 (in the middle area under the LED fixture). The clam is currently about 12" below the water surface, if you count from the top of its mantle.
I would really appreciate if some of you with the technical know-how would comment on the type of lighting that I have.
Many thanks in advance.
