LED for SPS -- Ai prime, Onyx, or Reefbreeders Nano-Lite

Looking to make a wise decision. My current aquarium is a 12g Nano but I plan to eventually upgrade to a 24" shallow cube (frag tank).

I want something that will give me enough light for SPS in a tank with that Footprint -- AKA, something upgrade proof.

Kessil or AI. Everyone is "happy" with Reefbreeders and onyx. I'm blown away by my Kessils and I'm sure AI same. You want to be blown away.

Also note the Reefbreeders police are almost as bad as the tang police...I hear the sirens now....

Thanks. The only Kessil in my price range is the a160WE, and I'm worried that won't be nearly enough light for a tank with a 20-24" cube footprint.

It may also not matter as much as it seems -- But the BRS videos show the Kessil at a significantly lower Par rating than all other options.

I have two a160we's on a 29g tank and it's perfect. One would be meh. Are you planning on running an apex or the ai controller?

I have the reefbreeder value fixture over my SPS dominant 25g cube. I like it a lot, it's nothing fancy but it gets the job done and is very powerful. I would say growth and color is good, I frag the Red Dragon, red cap and birds nest once every month or two.

I have 2 AI Prime's over my 65" which is 24" deep. Mixed reef, but I have a Monti Cap about 24" below the light (set at 60%) and it is growing quite actively. I actually love the AI Prime interface, and for a tank that small I would go for it. Don't think you can beat it for the price.
