LED lighted Refractometer!

yea, bought ours a couple of years ago.. it is useful when strong light is not avail (you don't need to walk to a better lit area to check your salinity).

yup.. the LED is all you need to check salinity. Bright little bugger.. and so far our batteries have held out well (watch them die tonight when I try to check our water :)).

haha cool I'll order one especially @ that price, there isn't much to complain about even if the battery came DOA,

Crazy, I always seem to have like a 1000 watts of light shining at me when I check my salinity. Who are you night time reefers??

yeah, I paid about $100 from Marine Depot. Looks like the same one to me. I'm usually checking the salinity of my water change water in my garage. My lighting sucks in there-probably 'cuz I spend all my money on my tank lights.

Amen too that! I have energy efficient bulbs all over the house, 15w almost everywhere and here I am with closed to 700w concentrated in one spot!
