Led lighting causing red slime algae?

So I had an ai Sol on a previous tank and I had an outbreak of red slime algae. I couldn't get rid of it until I changed to MH it went away. I just put a maxspect razor on a different tank and the same thing is happening. It's like kinda filmy but stringy and has lots of bubbles everywhere, its strange. So basically I'm asking what the hell? Lol

My first tank had power compact fluorescents. It went through all the different algae bloom including cyno/red slime. It went away after a few weeks or a month. I doubt it's because of the type of lights. My new tank has LED and nothing so far.

These weren't new tanks that this was\is happening to. Also it only happened once putting LEDs on the tank.

What spectrum are you running on each? I've never heard of something like that unless you're running whites higher on the LEDs and stimulating algae growth.

At its peak the whites are 60 percent and blues are 80 so like 20k would be the equivalent.
