Looking to upgrade my lighting to LED for the bio cube. This is our first tank so any feed back would be Appreciated. Don't mind going the pendant route but not sure what style would be better. Here are pics of what we have now.

Check out Rapid LEDs retro fit kits for the BioCube 29.

I would go for their biocube 29 retrofit! Ive had one on my BC14 for approx 2 months. I love every second of it. You will hear nay sayers about LEDS, but let me tell you, my energy bill has dropped over the standard PCs and you won't have to worry about heat problems. I have NO experience with electricity whatsoever, and I had no problems with my retrofit installation. Rapid LED has great customer service and was able to answer all of my questions in a hurry. You can keep anything with the leds and they look great. Same glitter lines as MH bulbs without the heat! My tank seldom breaks 80'F. The retrofit is a lot cheaper than a lot of other LED kits out there, so its definitely something you should take a hard look at.

How about a par38 bulb or even two of them. I have one over my zoa and lps biocube29. Try coral compulsion have their own line of leds and great service.

I've been doing research on the same thing and I'm going with Ecoxotic Panorama Pro modules along with their Stunners for supplemental wavelength. They are "plug & play", can be linked together, and easily retrofit under the existing hood. I'm really drawn to the flexibility that this option offers as well as the ease of use.
