LED lighting

I've seen some LED units for sal made by PFO. They claim to be as bright as metal halide without the heat. That would be great if they do all they claim. Has anyone tried one of these units? With summer approaching and perhaps having to buy a chiller, the price for one of these would be the same.

I believe PFO, if it still even exists, is having some very hard times right now. I would not touch anything made by them that might be a warranty hazard (and their LED fixtures top that particular list).

PFO is out of business. Ive heard good things about aqua illumination led's though.

from what I have read, led's work well with lps and work good with sps in the top half of the tank. I doubt that you will have the same growth as with MH's.
