What is the longest anyone has had led lights on a tank? I am wondering how they are going to be after a couple of years, with color and coral growth?

There are a few forums that are reporting problems with the 1-watt fixtures that are now 1+ years old.

- LEDs failing (and if one goes, the circuit goes)
- powder coat is rusting
- overall look is too blue and/or just not bright enough for a display tank

That said, there is also plenty of evidence that even so-called high light intensity corals survive and even thrive under MUCH lower light levels than most think is necessary.

It's hard to invest that much money in a light fixture that hasn't been in use for that long.
