LED options to supplement T5

I've had MH with VHO supplement. I'm currently using LED with T5 supplement. I've just ordered a T5 fixture. Looking for recommendation of LEDs to supplement the T5.

But... why do I need LED supplements?
- shimmer?
- additional PAR?
- ???

Based on the "œwhy"... what type?
- blue in the actinic zone for "œpop"? (Can't T5s provide this?)
- full spectrum? (Only for the shimmer?)

Options considered.
- Reef Brite XHO strips
- SB Reef Bar
- Kessil 360
- Orphek OR90 (Leading contender)
- AI Prime

Tank: 180g 72" x 24" x 24". Goal is SPS.
Pacific Sun 8x80w fixture:
- 5 - ATI Coral Plus
- 2 - ATI Blue Plus
- 1 - ATI Puple Plus

Definitely adding LED will greatly increase PAR significantly. As for shimmer, a lot depends not only on the fixture/brand. Mounting height and individual fixture settings can play roles in the shimmer.

Based on your considered options the Kessil, AI, & Orphek will all get you the SPS lighting power you're seeking. FWIW I'm using two Viparspectra's and a T5HO retro kit (2 bulb) with Coral+ & Arctic White over my 90g. Im getting good growth and my SPS are just above mid height in the DT.
