LED retro to a plug 'n' play - anyone done it?

I'm wondering if anyone has ripped out the compact fluorescents in their hood and replaced them w/ LEDs, like the PowerBrite LEDs (not simply lunar lights, but LEDs for daylight use.)

I would think that these newer LEDs could light a nano nicely, while at the same time run cooler and use less energy than the PC lights.

So, anyone done it? If so, could you post photos or links to the DIY? Thanks.

Here is a bad answer to this question, but it is all I can remeber... some guy on reef central runs a led lighting company and had several example in his gallery. He had a stock hood with all led lights in it - whites mostly, but some reds and blues for color. It looked nice.

Well, a "bad" answer is better than none at all! Perhaps I can find it by searching the gallery. Thanks for the lead!

Not sure if Powerbrites will actually work as primary lighting. I have the Powerbrite, and while they are bright for 4 watts of lighting, they really aren't that bright. It might work if you fit several of those.
