So I'm looking for a new LED for my 25 gallon cube, specifically to grow SPS. My illumagic is just not cutting it. Any suggestions? More par the better.

Hi my dad put together two DIY LED panals from www.reefledlights.com and they work great!!! I have them on myy 75 gallon, but only have a few coral in there now ,but it seems to be doing great! It ended up costing like just over $600 for the two panals!!
My dad said he liked putting them together ,but I think some people might have trouble doing the sodering ,but they do sell them partially put together!!!
Anyway I hope this helps,
Andrew

Any thoughts on AI sols? Would these provide enough coverage over an 18" cube? Another thing how much is my illumagic m45s worth I can't find any prices for them.

I don't like AI Sols but that is all just my own preference. You are stuck with their white:blue combo of LEDs until they release new pucks with different color LEDs.

Its the S version so yes but at about midway down the par is 150 which is extremely dissapointing

You probably have the old version, not the advanced version.

The advance version has 75 degree optics which doubles the par according to Illumagic. It also has violet leds and UV leds included. I ordered the SPS advance version with crees for my 25 gallon cube as well. Hope it cuts it with SPS. I will also add a panoram pro 19 watt blue and magenta light stripe to add more blue and red.

I won this light about a year ago and it does have two uv leds so I thought I had the advanced version where are you getting your light from

Is it fully dimmable and fully controllable, or do you have only a choice of preset modes? In the advance version, you can also add a slave to the master module.

I got mine from Reef Concept in Montreal.

I plan to have only SPS. Thought of adding one panorama pro to add some blue, but might add a slave unit instead for more blue and more par if necessary.
