LEDs

Hello All,

Ive been out of it for a while and am about to start this tank up again. Question is with the LED Lighting. My tank is 3' deep and the few (cheap) light fixtures I recently bought (to test) doesnt seem to be bright enough to penetrate to the bottom. Are there any LED fixtures that would work for deep tanks? Tank Dimensions LxWxD 10'x4'x3'. Ive seen good reviews on the Hydras but not certain that they will work.

If this has been answered, I apologize. I searched for a while and couldnt find the answer.

Thanks,
Jeremy

What corals are you looking to keep?

Are you trying to keep SPS from top to bottom, by any chance?

Yes, that was the plan. Back in the day, was not an issue but I ran several 500w MHs on the tank. Was hoping not to go that route this time.

You could go with the Hydra 52HD's.

Though, being SPS dominant in your tank, you're going to want to get quite a few. I'd say minimum of about 10 Hydra 52HD's to be able to cover most the tank. These should easily be able to reach the bottom of the 3' tank to allow you to cover most Acropora at the very bottom.
