Lens and reflector for multichip leds(angle issue)

Can anyone explane how can be the angle of the beam adjusted with these lens?It says that angle can be adjusted by changing the distance between the lens and the led,but is not clear to me,do I need some rings or something else.

The distance of the lens from the light source is what causes the change in angle. Google lens collimators and you can find information about it. But what you need will depend on how you intend to mount the optic itself...I have seen spacers used all the way to machine screws with nuts. They are not as straight forward to use as TIR lenses.
