Lens Filter - What is comparable to polarized sunglass?

I put on a pair of polarized sunglasses when looking at my tank under actinics only. The lens filtered out much of the purple color and made the colors on the corals way more vibrant. I would like to get a similar filter for my camera.

What would most closely match the sunglasses?

You can get a polarizer for your camera, however, this may not get you the effect that you want, because that polarizer shouldn't have a significant effect on the color, which is what you're looking for.
The problem is, we can't really answer your question without knowing what color your sunglasses are, because they couldn't be any shade.

I think you could try to find polarizer that are used for film. They used different polarizer for different lighting condition. Ex: A pink polarizer for tungsen ligth.

I don't have any other info on that but maybe someone can talk to you more about it.

I once took some shot thru my sungasses and was happy with the result. Of course that was a LONG time ago and I wasn;t doing much with the images. Depending on what your plans are for the images you may want to try it out!

You can look into Cokin Sepia filters. I have a #3 that gives a "sunglasses" effect. The higher the number, the darker they get. They're not polarizing filters though.

This is a pic I took with a #3 Sepia and an 8 point star.
