Hi there,

I currently have an XTi. The lenses that I have are:

Sigma 10-20mm
Canon 50mm 1.8
Canon 17-40 f/4L
Canon 28-135mm IS
Canon 70-200mm f/4L
Canon 100mm Macro

I just want to people's thoughts on my lenses. Basically I want to have a lens for every occasion. What changes or additions would you make? Also, what accessories (tripod, filters, etc.) would be good?

Thanks in advance

Got the fantastic plastic, the sweet macro, wide angle is covered, zoom ranges to 200. Looks like your next lens is the 400mm f/5.6L or the 100-400 is. Gotta get it, its the natural progression. Unless you're a crazy person like me, whose planning to blow his tax check on the 500mm f4.

Don't waste money on a cheap tripod. I like bogen-manfretto cause they are economical. Beerguy has a sweet setup, but I think he paid more for his tripod than I did for my camera. He's a hiker. Needs the carbon fiber.

You need a good flash, a TC is nice, and a polarizer. UV filters make good lens protectors. Most other filters can be duplicated in PS and are not essential even though landscapers often like those nuetral density filters that darken the sky so they can get some dynamic range.

Oh yeah, get a nice computer, lightroom and PS CS3, oh yeah and a large format printer, walcom tablet, .... as you see, its gets as bad a reefing.

also w/ that tripod, look at the the ones with the horizontal boom. Another very nice thing to have it the pistol grip head, as its infinitely adjustable and solid as a rock.
