Is this doable? I saw it mentioned in another thread. I plan on adding a leopard wrasse to my tank when its a been established for a bit. But a harem that would be cool. Is there a recommended way of achieving this?

It may have been me that you saw post about harems. I have only done this with meleagris and all were juvenile/ female coloration. I bought them all the same day and they were introduced into my 46 gallon bf at the same time. They swam around together and grazed together, really maintaining a prettyl tight level of closeness. My attempts before to keep them single, resulted in dead fish within 24 hours. I am pretty sure they died from cyanide collecting, b/c they acted very stange and swam wildly in erratic circles, before collapsing on the sand bed.
It was out of determination to keep them I bought the three, determined to have at least one make it. Turns out, by my observation, they seem to appreciate being in a group, the largest and oldest fish will probably become male and the other 2 female. A trio is a must have in all my reef tanks...can't wait to have my 150 going and to add them. Mine were grazers and eat pods, but also readily accepted any and all suitably sized frozen foods. Some quarentine and treatment for intestinal worms is adviseable, from what I read and seems logical to me. I did not treat mine, but that was 7 years ago and I was very wet behind the ears, regarding parasites and sw set-ups. Good luck, you will love your group of leopards, if you try it.
