leopard wrasse

So there is a leopard wrasse (Macropharyngodon meleagris) at my LFS and he is eating pellets. My question to you is if I should get him. I have heard they are pretty difficult to keep but if he's eating NLS pellets I should be golden right? what would you do?

I would look at the leopard wrasse primer. My under standing is they should go straight into a mature reef though.

I would get him if you actually saw him eating. Worth the chance. (mine eat pellets too as well as copepods and PE mysis)

I would agree, as long as your tank met the rest of their requirements such as:

sugar-fine sand bed
docile fish
etc...

What LFS was he at? Just curious!

I don't have sugar fine sand, but I do have reeflakes which are really light. And for Brian, he is at aquacrylic I have a tailspot blenny on hold and was really leaning towards getting both him AND the leopard wrasse since he's eating.
